Workshops and Training
I currently have four workshops available to museum professionals and community organizations. Workshops run from 1-6 hours and are educational, affordable, and fun! Please contact me for more information or if you have an idea for a new workshop.

  • Saving Your Family Photos: Learn how to identify, date, preserve and interpret the the photographs in your family files or museum collection.

  • Textile Preservation Methods: Learn how to properly and easily preserve a variety of textiles for long-term preservation. Methods include proper hanging, boxing, and rolling garments, over-sized items (quilts, etc.), accessories, and mixed media pieces.

  • Exhibit Development for Beginners: Developed for the Iowa Museum Association to introduce museum staff and volunteers to the basics of exhibit development from concept development through installation.

  • Exhibit Label Writing: Developed for the Iowa Museum Association to help museum staff and volunteers to write and design captivating exhibit labels easily in-house.
